“Conflict is the beginning of consciousness.” – M. Esther Harding

Conflict is what instigates conversations, it makes changes and it makes us all individual; we all have our opinions and none are the same, it’s what makes us who we are and it’s what makes us conscious.

Today is day three and it’s the day everyone is stringing their stories together and buckling down to get the first words written. Astronomers, witches, psychologists, and scientists are being interviewed by our inquisitive journalists; Owen has started his piece about psychedelics and if they have medicinal uses as clinical trials are underway. Hesham has been organising how each article will be laid out on the website; from graphics to embeds and colour schemes. Natalie spent the afternoon interviewing an ex-councillor and the Mayor of Cheltenham, and Erin has been seeking out interviewees for her conflict piece on veganism.

The topic of conversation in the newsroom that stirred everyone was Romy’s flat Earth conspiracy theory which ended up in a debate over the first moon landing and if it was all CGI. Tomorrow will be the day that we all spend thinking and planning for next week’s podcast which is presented by Owen, Beth, Ollie, and Emma.
